Aerial
Aerial Services
Pole-line construction, strand and lashing, and overlash work performed by long-tenured line crews.
Overview
What our aerial services cover
Aerial routes move fast when the make-ready is right. Our crews frame and anchor poles, place and tension strand, lash new fiber over existing plant, and handle transfers and clearance corrections so joint-use timelines do not slip. Every span is placed to the engineered sag and clearance package, with traffic control and safety planning built into the daily plan.
- Framing, anchoring, guying and strand placement to engineered specifications
- Lashed and self-supporting fiber, coax and copper installation
- Overlash on loaded strand to add capacity without a full rebuild
- Pole transfers, make-ready coordination and clearance corrections
- Aerial splice-case and slack-storage placement ready for splicing crews
- Storm and emergency restoration response for downed aerial plant

Capabilities
Scopes we perform in-house
Aerial Placement
Framing, anchoring, guying and strand placement engineered to your make-ready package.
Aerial Cable Installation
Lashed and self-supporting fiber, coax and copper placement across existing pole routes.
Overlash & Rearrangement
Adding capacity to loaded strand and correcting clearance violations without a full rebuild.
Pole Transfers & Make-Ready
Coordinated transfers and attachment work that keeps joint-use timelines on schedule.
Safety & qualifications
Safety and qualifications
Work zones are planned and staffed by credentialed people, and the traffic control that protects them is ours — not a subcontractor's schedule.
Field supervisors OSHA 30 trained
Every field supervisor has completed OSHA 30 training, so hazard recognition and daily job briefings come from the person running the crew.
All crew leads hold Intermediate traffic-control credentials
Crew leads carry Intermediate traffic-control cards, so lane closures and work-zone setups are led by credentialed personnel.
In-house traffic control
We maintain our own traffic-control capability instead of waiting on a third party, which keeps work zones compliant and schedules intact.
VDOT approved
Expert Telecom is approved by the Virginia Department of Transportation for work within its rights-of-way.
